George Dovas is the Director of The Iyengar Yoga Centre of Hong Kong. He is certified at the Intermediate Junior III level. He has been teaching yoga at The Iyengar Yoga Centre for many years. He teaches asana classes for all levels of students and also conducts discussions about yoga philosophy in the Yoga Philosophy Class. In his former working life, George was a well known fitness instructor in this city, and before that a business consultant.
Linda Shevloff is a certified Senior Intermediate Iyengar Yoga teacher who founded The Iyengar Yoga Centre of Hong Kong. Linda remains connected to the centre providing guidance and assisting in the training of teachers as they work towards higher levels of certification. During her visits to Hong Kong, she teaches some classes and workshops. Linda is an assessor of teachers seeking Iyengar Yoga certification.
Ursula Moser is certified at the Intermediate Junior II level and has been teaching at the centre for many years. She teaches classes for beginners as well as more experienced students. Ursula is from Switzerland originally, but she has spent a large part of her life in Asian cities and is a frequent traveler. Ursula has made several trips to Pune, India to study at RIMYI (Ramamani Iyengar Memorial Yoga Institute). She speaks English, German and French.
Kitty Wong started her journey on the path of Iyengar Yoga when she enrolled in an 8 week Introductory Yoga course many years ago. After completing the teacher training program at our centre, she successfully achieved Introductory certification and more recently was awarded an Intermediate Junior I certificate. Kitty is also working as the Centre Administrator, so you will often see her at the front desk. Kitty is the mother of two boys. She is a local Hong Kong resident who is fluent in Cantonese and English.
Lydia Tsang completed her training with The Iyengar Yoga Centre of Hong Kong and is certified at the Introductory II level. During the day she works in an investment bank where she spends a lot of time on a computer. She finds that yoga provides a good balance not only to her neck and shoulders but also her life. Lydia is a Hong Kong native, and speaks English and Cantonese.
Theresa Wenk has completed her teacher training at The Iyengar Yoga Centre of Hong Kong. Originally from Switzerland, she speaks English and German. Theresa has spent most of her adult life in Asia, and has studied yoga both in Taiwan and in Hong Kong. She has two young adult sons. Theresa is certified at Introductory Level II.
Ushie Tuck teaches classes of various levels and is the main teacher of the Family Yoga class. Ushie received her initial teaching certificate in 2010 after completing the three year training program at the centre. Recently she underwent further assessment to successfully receive an Intermediate Junior I certification. Ushie is the mother of two active teenage girls who keep her pretty busy. In her earlier working life, Ushie was a registered nurse. She speaks French, English and some German.
Olivia Tang successfully achieved an Introductory II certificate in 2010 after completing the three-year training program offered by our centre. As well as teaching at the centre, Olivia assists the centre with the production of our clothing range. Olivia is from Hong Kong and she speaks English, Cantonese and Mandarin.
Caroline Roy was awarded an Introductory II certificate in 2010 after a three year training apprenticeship with The Iyengar Yoga Centre of Hong Kong. Caroline is a busy mum with two young children, but in the past she was involved in coaching individuals to reach their goals in life. Caroline has also worked as a copy writer and travel writer. She speaks English and German.
Andrew Horner Certified at the Introductory II level, he is a regular student at the centre. From time to time, Andrew will substitute for other teachers when they are away. Andrew is also a professor at HKUST, in the field of IT and Music.
Jesse Tong is a certified Iyengar Yoga teacher who has practiced yoga for many years. She teaches mainly on Kowloon side, but from time to time she teaches at The Iyengar Yoga Centre of Hong Kong. Jesse is originally from Malaysia, and besides Malay and English, she speaks Cantonese.
